It seems to me that is possible as of PHP 7.2.0 via
<http://www.php.net/manual/en/ziparchive.setencryptionname.php>.

The password set via ZipArchive::setPassword() is currently only used when reading from Zip
archives, not when creating new archives.
It would be nice if I was able to create password protected zip archives.
