Did the unused initialize methods have some bearing on this bug?
Since
A does not have a parent it would fatal if it were ever called. I'm adding
compile-time warnings to uses of parent when there isn't one and ran across this
bug, but since it's "fixed" I can't tell if removing the unused methods has any
bearing.

The fix will be released with PHP 7.0.27, 7.1.13 and 7.2.1. The
PHP 7.0 and 7.1 releases are scheduled for January, 4th.
