From: smokey101stair at gmail dot com Operating system: Windows 10 PHP version: Irrelevant Package: *General Issues Bug Type: Bug Bug description:CLI option -z/--zend_extension does not load specified zend extension Description: ------------ Using the -z/--zend_extension option to load a zend extension when using php from the CLI doesn't seem to work on Windows. I tested using PHP versions 5.6.40, 7.2.16, and 7.3.3. In my particular case, I was trying to load xdebug. php -z <path to xdebug> -m The above results in no modules listed under [Zend Modules] php -z <path to xdebug> --re xdebug php -z <path to xdebug> --rz xdebug php -z <path to xdebug> --ri xdebug The above all result in an error stating that xdebug does not exist. php -d zend_extension=<path to xdebug> The above can be used as a workaround as it loads the extension as expected. Please let me know if I can provide any additional information. -- Edit bug report at https://bugs.php.net/bug.php?id=77801&edit=1 -- Try a snapshot (PHP 5.4): https://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=77801&r=trysnapshot54 Try a snapshot (PHP 5.5): https://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=77801&r=trysnapshot55 Try a snapshot (trunk): https://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=77801&r=trysnapshottrunk Fixed in SVN: https://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=77801&r=fixed Fixed in release: https://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=77801&r=alreadyfixed Need backtrace: https://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=77801&r=needtrace Need Reproduce Script: https://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=77801&r=needscript Try newer version: https://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=77801&r=oldversion Not developer issue: https://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=77801&r=support Expected behavior: https://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=77801&r=notwrong Not enough info: https://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=77801&r=notenoughinfo Submitted twice: https://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=77801&r=submittedtwice register_globals: https://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=77801&r=globals PHP 4 support discontinued: https://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=77801&r=php4 Daylight Savings: https://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=77801&r=dst IIS Stability: https://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=77801&r=isapi Install GNU Sed: https://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=77801&r=gnused Floating point limitations: https://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=77801&r=float No Zend Extensions: https://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=77801&r=nozend MySQL Configuration Error: https://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=77801&r=mysqlcfg
