Edit report at https://bugs.php.net/bug.php?id=78364&edit=1 ID: 78364 Updated by: requinix@php.net Reported by: bkfake-php at yahoo dot com Summary: strip_tags should not remove \x00 -Status: Not a bug +Status: Open Type: Feature/Change Request Package: Strings related Operating System: osx PHP Version: 7.3.8 Block user comment: N Private report: N New Comment: :) Doing some research, I see HTML 5 allows NULs sometimes, but I can't tell how HTML 4 feels about it. If there was a particular reason strip_tags removed them then the behavior should probably stay, but otherwise I think it's a (undoubtedly rare) edge case that should be fine to remove.
