session.save_handler do you use? What is is in session.save_path ?

Description:
------------
A web page with normal PHP script works fine.
Now added session_start() to maintain a login/logout system.
Web page works fine for some time after login, but after some different page views (after login) and
form submissions ($_POST, $_REQUEST) activities, web page remain in loading state forever.
Test script:
---------------
// Without session
echo 'Hello'; // works fine, and loads web page instantly
// With session
session_start();
$_SESSION['var'] = 'some_value';
if (form_submitted()){
// some activity
}
Expected result:
----------------
// With session
session_start();
$_SESSION['var'] = 'some_value';
if (form_submitted()){
// some activity
}
// Should go smooth, no web page loading forever
