Bug #80442 [NEW]: Running maxima using exec results in segfault
From: fadykamel902 at gmail dot com
Operating system: Ubuntu 20.04
PHP version: 7.4.13
Package: Unknown/Other Function
Bug Type: Bug
Bug description:Running maxima using exec results in segfault
Description:
------------
This used to work just fine in older versions of PHP/Ubuntu/Maxima
If I try to run maxima from php exec() I'll get a segmentation fault, no
matter how simple the input file is.
Test script:
---------------
<?php
exec("/usr/bin/maxima -b /tmp/testInput.txt > /tmp/testOutput.txt");
// replace /usr/bin/maxima with your maxima path
// testInput.txt contains the text "1+1;"
?>
Actual result:
--------------
Segmentation fault
