Edit report at https://bugs.php.net/bug.php?id=70605&edit=1 ID: 70605 Comment by: martynas at martynas dot it Reported by: framelio at gmail dot com Summary: Option to attach a pool to a cgroup Status: Assigned Type: Feature/Change Request Package: FPM related Operating System: Unix PHP Version: 7.0.0 Assigned To: bukka Block user comment: N Private report: N New Comment: Is support for linux namespaces and cgroupsv2 still planned? At this time it's required to start php-fpm process per-user to get them into user slices (and get the limitations in effect), this adds lots of overhead... Previous Comments: ------------------------------------------------------------------------ [2017-04-10 18:56:09] bukka@php.net It's currently discussed in https://github.com/php/php-src/pull/2440 I have some interest in it so assigning myself... ------------------------------------------------------------------------ [2015-10-01 11:33:44] framelio at gmail dot com Another nice feature would be to attach the pool to a namespace with setns(). This would allow a safer chroot environment. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ [2015-09-30 09:37:12] framelio at gmail dot com Description: ------------ Would be nice to have the possibility to attach a PHP pool to a Control Group (kernel feature). This will allow to set cpu, io, memory limits at kernel level. https://www.kernel.org/doc/Documentation/cgroups/cgroups.txt ------------------------------------------------------------------------ -- Edit this bug report at https://bugs.php.net/bug.php?id=70605&edit=1
