Given that there has been no further feedback indicating more
interest in this for many years, and that it's trivial to get
these values, e.g.
echo strlen(md5(""))
I'm closing this as WONTFIX. If anybody feels strongly that this
would be a valuable feature addition, please pursue the RFC
process[1].

It would be Really Nifty if there were constants for the output lengths of the
various CRYPT algorithms.
EG:
MD5_CRYPTED_LENGTH 32
Cuz I can never remember how long the various crypt thingies go, and I always need to build the
table to hold them, so I spend an hour digging around for the number I need.
