Is this still an issue with any of the actively supported PHP
versions[1]?

Yep, the valgrind BT is much better now. But still, could you pls at least figure
out which tests are responsible for that leaks? Alone setting up and running all
the tests on such a monster app costs a huge amount of time. Since you already
have all the setup, please triage which tests this are.

This is reproduce on this script:
git clone https://github.com/magento/magento2.git
cd dev/tests/integration
phpunit
Reproduced on Windows and Ubuntu (but not on php 5.4)

You don't need to disclose the whole proprietary project. In the current form the
report is some kind of unusable. Instead of running the complete test suite
please run just every single test, then you could extract the pieces of code
causing leaks. Another thing here - please install debug symbols for php and it's
modules as well as for the related libs. This will make the valgrind report
showing all the traces instead of question marks.
