### Description

The following code:

```bash
php -a

# then press <Ctrl + w> after input some commands in one line that delimiter is whitespace
```

Resulted in this output:
**The entire line of command input is erased**


But I expected this output instead:
**Only cut back one word by keyboard <C-w>**
