### Description
Advanced type handling in PHP needs to be added for several reasons (we already implemented some of
these ideas in php 8). Here are a few key reasons why adding advanced type handling to PHP would be
beneficial:
1. Security and Reliability: PHP is known for its weak typing, which means that variable types do
not need to be declared before their usage. This can lead to errors that are not discovered until
the code is executed, resulting in unexpected behavior and security issues. Introducing advanced
type handling allows for preventing such errors and improves the security and reliability of
applications.
3. Improved Readability and Code Maintenance: Declaring variable types enables developers to have a
clearer understanding of their purpose and expected operations. This makes it easier to read and
maintain the code, especially in larger projects where multiple programmers collaborate.
5. Performance Optimization: When strictly typed variables are used, compilers can perform
optimizations in the executable code, resulting in improved application performance.
**Examples:**
1. Named Arguments:
```
function createUser(string $name, int $age): void {
// Function implementation
}
// Calling the function with named arguments
createUser(age: 25, name: "John");
```
2. Improved Type Declarations:
```
class Person {
public function __construct(private string $name, private int $age) {
// Constructor implementation
}
public function getName(): string {
return $this->name;
}
public function getAge(): int {
return $this->age;
}
}
```
Again, thank you for your work and I hope these changes add to it.
