#20535 [NEW]: zLib crashes when trying to gzuncompress

From: sroussey@network54.com Operating system: RedHat 7.2 PHP version: 4.2.3 PHP Bug Type: Zlib Related Bug description: zLib crashes when trying to gzuncompress PHP crashes when using gzuncompress(). This happens rarely, but repeatably. Most cases it is OK, but sometimes it crashes. I have one such string that will make PHP and zLib crash. I will have to send it privately, however, since it contains customer data (in compressed form). There is a way around the problem: If I manually supply a large enough length argument, it will not crash. Seems like it could be a boundary condition, though maybe it is inside zLib itself.
