From: z95kahe@mtek.chalmers.se Operating system: WindowsXP PHP version: 4.2.3 PHP Bug Type: Feature/Change Request Bug description: set function arguments by name I realy think it would be nice to be able to set function arguments by their name. Especially when you have default arguments in a function. An example: function aaa( a = 'A', b = 'B', c = 'C' ) { } aaa( b -> 'D' ); Would call function aaa, set argument b to 'D' and leave the other arguments unchanged. -- Edit bug report at http://bugs.php.net/?id=20544&edit=1 -- Try a CVS snapshot: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=20544&r=trysnapshot Fixed in CVS: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=20544&r=fixedcvs Fixed in release: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=20544&r=alreadyfixed Need backtrace: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=20544&r=needtrace Try newer version: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=20544&r=oldversion Not developer issue: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=20544&r=support Expected behavior: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=20544&r=notwrong Not enough info: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=20544&r=notenoughinfo Submitted twice: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=20544&r=submittedtwice register_globals: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=20544&r=globals PHP 3 support discontinued: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=20544&r=php3 Daylight Savings: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=20544&r=dst IIS Stability: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=20544&r=isapi
