ID: 10463 Updated by: cmv@php.net -Summary: ini_restore() doesn't restore to php.ini settings Reported By: colin@easydns.com -Status: Analyzed +Status: Closed Bug Type: PHP options/info functions Operating System: ALL PHP Version: 4.2.0-dev New Comment: This bug has already been fixed in the latest released version of PHP, which you can download at http://www.php.net/downloads.php Works in 4.1.2 Previous Comments: ------------------------------------------------------------------------ [2001-04-23 14:33:54] colin@easydns.com Here is the script which temporarily alters the include_path, then should restore it: <?php $path = ini_get('include_path'); echo "before:\n$path\n"; ini_set('include_path', $path.':/foo'); $path = ini_get('include_path'); echo "now:\n$path\n"; ini_restore('include_path'); $path = ini_get('include_path'); echo "after:\n$path\n"; ?> The output: before: .:/pear:/usr/local/easydns/common:...(etc.) now: .:/pear:/usr/local/easydns/common:...(etc.)...:/foo after: .:/usr/local/share/php/pear So, it looks like ini_restore() is restoring to the "default" include path even though the "before" line above is what is in my php.ini file. The docs say it should "restore a given configuration option to its original value." Shouldn't that be the setting in the php.ini file? - Colin ------------------------------------------------------------------------ -- Edit this bug report at http://bugs.php.net/?id=10463&edit=1
