Status: Verified
Bug Type: Other web server
Operating System: WinXP
PHP Version: 4.3.0
New Comment:
"-b is ONLY available" was what I wanted to say. :)
Anyway, if you have any of these set in your environment:
SERVER_SOFTWARE
SERVER_NAME
GATEWAY_INTERFACE
REQUEST_METHOD
then it won't be available.

-b is not available for fastcgi binary..iirc, the binary
provided in the release package is compiled with the fastcgi support
turned on. You can check that with 'php -v'

I've downloaded the full Win32 PHP binary and the "-b" argument that
should "Bind Path for external FASTCGI server mode" doesn't work.
What happens is:
c:\php>php -b 5000
Error in argument 1, char 2: option not found b
Error in argument 1, char 2: option not found b
Error in argument 1, char 2: option not found b
I read on php.dev newsgroup that this is the right way to start FastCGI
support since SAPI/FastCGI was discontinued.
But it doesn't work.
