From: rabus@users.sourceforge.net Operating system: Windows NT 5.1 PHP version: 4CVS-2003-01-31 (stable) PHP Bug Type: MySQL related Bug description: MYSQL_CLIENT_SSL constant is undefined My Config: Windows NT 5.1 ("XP") Apache 2.0.44 PHP 4.3.1-CVS (stable) MySQL 4.0.9-gamma-max-nt I tried to connect to a MySQL 4.0.9 server using SSL encryption. <?php $dbh = mysql_connect('foohost', 'foouser', 'foopass', FALSE, MYSQL_CLIENT_SSL); ?> This resulted in a warning because the constant "MYSQL_CLIENT_SSL" was not defined, unlike to what the documentation says: http://www.php.net/manual/en/function.mysql-connect.php A look into the phpinfo() output told me, that your Win32 binary distributions seem to be compiled with the MySQL client API version 3.23.49. As far as I know, MySQL supports SSL since 4.0.0 so your client API appears obsolete to me. -- Edit bug report at http://bugs.php.net/?id=21981&edit=1 -- Try a CVS snapshot: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=21981&r=trysnapshot Fixed in CVS: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=21981&r=fixedcvs Fixed in release: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=21981&r=alreadyfixed Need backtrace: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=21981&r=needtrace Try newer version: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=21981&r=oldversion Not developer issue: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=21981&r=support Expected behavior: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=21981&r=notwrong Not enough info: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=21981&r=notenoughinfo Submitted twice: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=21981&r=submittedtwice register_globals: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=21981&r=globals PHP 3 support discontinued: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=21981&r=php3 Daylight Savings: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=21981&r=dst IIS Stability: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=21981&r=isapi Install GNU Sed: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=21981&r=gnused
