The same error was reproduced on php-4.3.0, php-4.3.2RC1, php-4.5.
Tried the following:
1. Configure with-zlib and/or with-zlib-dir=/dir/zlib in
combinations
2. rm f config.cache; ./buildconf; make distclean;
Another try:
./configure \
--with-apache=/usr/local/apache_1.3.27 \
--with-config-file-path=/usr/local/apache/conf \
--with-mysql=/usr/local/mysql \
--enable-track-vars \
--enable-trans-sid \
--enable-bcmath \
--with-curl=/usr/local/curl \
--with-curlwrappers
Configures without errors or warnings.
Make stops by error again:
In file included from /usr/local/php/ext/standard/md5.h:48,
from /usr/local/php/ext/session/session.c:40:
/usr/local/php/ext/standard/basic_functions.h:126: #error Need type
which holds 32 bits
make: *** [ext/session/session.lo] Error 1
config.log did not revile any problems
