PHP version:      4.1.2
PHP Bug Type:     Session related
Bug description:  session_id  returns empty string if save handler is wddx

PHP.ini settings:
session.save_handler = wddx
session.auto_start = 1

<?php
echo "This should be the session ID: ".session_id()."<br>";
echo "How about this: ".SID."<br>";
if (SID=='') {
  echo "<b>Something wrong with wddx sessions!</b>";
}
?>

changing the save_handler back to php fixes this problem.
