From: jlg at huelladigital dot net Operating system: Linux 2.4.18 PHP version: 4.3.2RC1 PHP Bug Type: CGI related Bug description: exec() not allowed for directories outside /cgi-bin I am running php cgi in /usr/local/bin and my scripts are in /cgi-bin. Combining #!/usr/local/bin/php, chmod's and apache directives AllowExecCGI this works fine; but when I try to exec() a program anywhere outside /cgi-bin it does nothing. Is it a matter of PHP or Apache? ./configure --with-mysql --enable-ftp --enable-sockets --with-ncurses -- Edit bug report at http://bugs.php.net/?id=23112&edit=1 -- Try a CVS snapshot: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=23112&r=trysnapshot Fixed in CVS: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=23112&r=fixedcvs Fixed in release: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=23112&r=alreadyfixed Need backtrace: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=23112&r=needtrace Try newer version: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=23112&r=oldversion Not developer issue: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=23112&r=support Expected behavior: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=23112&r=notwrong Not enough info: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=23112&r=notenoughinfo Submitted twice: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=23112&r=submittedtwice register_globals: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=23112&r=globals PHP 3 support discontinued: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=23112&r=php3 Daylight Savings: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=23112&r=dst IIS Stability: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=23112&r=isapi Install GNU Sed: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=23112&r=gnused
