From: cmouse at quakenet dot org Operating system: linux-2.4.19-grsec PHP version: 4.3.2RC1 PHP Bug Type: MySQL related Bug description: MySQL v4.x crashes PHP in CGI/Apache mode Apparently for some reason, using the new MySQL v4.x libmysqlclient crashes PHP in both CGI and Apache mode. The problem is fixed by using the bundled library that comes with PHP or using a libmysqlclient prior v4. I haven't been able to establish what exactly causes the crash, since it only happens in phpMyAdmin in sql.php and only when doing 'SELECT' queries. Anything else succeeds. I am unable to provide any gdb backtraces or such since I haven't been able to get a usable backtrace, despite my best efforts, but my best guess is that it fails on dlopen() on the mysql library. For some odd reason. -- Edit bug report at http://bugs.php.net/?id=23126&edit=1 -- Try a CVS snapshot: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=23126&r=trysnapshot Fixed in CVS: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=23126&r=fixedcvs Fixed in release: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=23126&r=alreadyfixed Need backtrace: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=23126&r=needtrace Try newer version: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=23126&r=oldversion Not developer issue: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=23126&r=support Expected behavior: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=23126&r=notwrong Not enough info: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=23126&r=notenoughinfo Submitted twice: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=23126&r=submittedtwice register_globals: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=23126&r=globals PHP 3 support discontinued: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=23126&r=php3 Daylight Savings: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=23126&r=dst IIS Stability: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=23126&r=isapi Install GNU Sed: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=23126&r=gnused
