Bug description: empty output with "echo <<<..."
If you try to output nothing with this construct:
echo <<<END
END;
the output "hangs". that means no output at all is delivered with these
statements and the page cannot be displayed.
If you insert a blank line to be echoed, like
echo <<<END
END;
then everything is OK
