Operating system: Linux (Debian 3.0 / 2.4.18)
PHP version: 4.3.1
PHP Bug Type: Session related
Bug description: sessions don't work....see 16043
I can't get sessions to work properly on 4.2.2,4.2.3 & 4.3.1 on Debian
Linux 3.0 (2.4.18). I've read 16043 and it seems to describe my problem
very well, but it's closed saying it's fixed in 4.2/4.3. I've reviewed as
many other similar prob reports as possible to no avail.
I've tried all the permutations / combinations in 16043.
I get sessions created and session files (sess_) created in /tmp and the
contents look fine etc. But if I edit the appropriate sess_ file to
change a value it isn't reflected back in the web app on refresh.
I'm just compiling straight from source with minimum configure options.
./configure --with-apxs .
