Please try using this CVS snapshot:

For Windows:
http://snaps.php.net/win32/php4-win32-STABLE-latest.zip
And if this happens with the snapshot, give us a short example script
which we can use to reproduce this too.
(this is likely to be fixed already)

i test just the examples/tabletest.php from pc4p and i get this error
back:
