PHP Version: 4.3.2
New Comment:
sure _I_know those switches, but there are many isps out with
posix enabled (just by accident), what might be a security risk in
shared web environments (see the docs for the warnings). And
just because they are enabled by default. So the question is still,
why should posix be enabled by default? Is there any _good_
reason?
I thought the logik should be the other way round, especially for
posix functions. Few people use them, they are risky and they
should be only enabled with a good reason in mind.
Disabling posix by default doesn't harm anyone, imho.

--disable-posix, or use --disable-all and enable everything you
actually need..

... by configure. Why should this be enabled by default, I don't know
any reason.
