Confirmed only happens with 4.3.3; 5CVS-2003-09-06 gives the more sensible error message "Fatal error: Using $this when not in object context" on the previous line, indicating this is a ZE1 problem. Reproduce code: --------------- <? class foo { function bar() { } } $this->x = "y"; echo foo::bar(); ?> Expected result: ---------------- No message instructing me to file a bug report. Possibly, an error about using $this outside a class, like PHP5 gives.
