Description:
------------
If one doesn't have automake installed, attempts to run phpize just
emit "/usr/local/bin/phpize[57]: aclocal: not found", which isn't
particularly helpful.
It'd be helpful to check to see if aclocal is installed before trying
to execute it, ideally emitting a useful error message if it's not
there.
