I have install GD 1.8.4 from source archive into /usr/local/. There is no other GD installed. As for PHP, it was configured as follows: ./configure \ --enable-bcmath \ --enable-ftp \ --enable-track-vars \ --with-apxs \ --with-gd \ --with-mm \ --with-openssl \ --with-snmp \ --with-zlib \ --without-tsrm-pthreads Previous Comments: ------------------------------------------------------------------------ [2002-04-18 16:39:28] sniper@php.net They're not supposed to be same.. How did you configure PHP ? How did you configure / compile the GD library?
