If you are able to provide the information that was originally requested, please do so and change the status of the bug back to "Open". ------------------------------------------------------------------------ [2002-04-13 08:24:04] thies@php.net works for me. does sqlplus work with this NLS_LANG setting? ------------------------------------------------------------------------ [2001-04-10 18:50:56] renato dot oliveira at bol dot com dot br When I try to connect to oracle 8.1.6 or 8.1.7 configured with NLS_LANG="BRAZILIAN PORTUGUESE_BRAZIL.WE8ISO8859P1" I get the message "Warning: OCISessionBegin: Error while trying to retrieve text for error ORA-03106 in /usr/local/apache/htdocs/teste3.php on line 3" I can connect to another oracle server with default installation and the same versions of apache, linux, php and oracle. I put the variables NLS_LANG and ORACLE_HOME into apache initialization script but it didn´t work.
