Thanks a lot, this is done now by 'register_globals' ,

In PHP 4.2.0, the 'register_globals' setting default changed to
'off'. See http://www.php.net/release_4_2_0.php for more info.
We are sorry about the inconvenience, but this change was a necessary
part of our efforts to make PHP scripting more secure and portable.
Try using $_POST['name1'], $_POST['lanme'], etc...

i have code like, file name is test.php

?>
<html>
<body>
<form action='test.php' method=post >
<input type=text name=name1 value=''>
<input type=text name=lanme value=''>
<input type=submit name=save value='save'>
</body>
</html>
so while after submit this page, and i want to echo $name1 and $lname
in php file, there i didnt get any value which is i have inputed in to
text field.
if you know about this so please let us know you views
