There is some bug in your system. (Not enough information given to say
exactly what is wrong but I bet it's buggy glibc..)

when I remove the bug21523.phpt from test suite, "make test" went on
fine.

Description:

php cli and .so was built successfully. after when I issue "make test"
command, it is getting hung at running the test for
ext/standard/tests/math/bug21523.phpt test.

assuming it is problem with make, I ran the same test manually using
php cli. still I ran to same problem of getting hung. Is there any work
around for this.
