From: foxyshadis1 at dslextreme dot com Operating system: Win2000 PHP version: 4.3.7 PHP Bug Type: Date/time related Bug description: strtotime bad dates for "Jan 2002" Description: ------------ strtotime is attempting and failing to read dates in a "month year" format. Both long and short months are affected. It is then returning wildly wrong timestamps. Since the date cannot be correctly parsed, it should return -1, or be modified to correctly parse it. Reproduce code: --------------- echo date("j M Y",strtotime("May 2001")); Expected result: ---------------- 1 May 2001 or 1 January 1969 Actual result: -------------- 22 Oct 2009 -- Edit bug report at http://bugs.php.net/?id=28951&edit=1 -- Try a CVS snapshot (php4): http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=28951&r=trysnapshot4 Try a CVS snapshot (php5): http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=28951&r=trysnapshot5 Fixed in CVS: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=28951&r=fixedcvs Fixed in release: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=28951&r=alreadyfixed Need backtrace: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=28951&r=needtrace Need Reproduce Script: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=28951&r=needscript Try newer version: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=28951&r=oldversion Not developer issue: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=28951&r=support Expected behavior: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=28951&r=notwrong Not enough info: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=28951&r=notenoughinfo Submitted twice: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=28951&r=submittedtwice register_globals: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=28951&r=globals PHP 3 support discontinued: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=28951&r=php3 Daylight Savings: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=28951&r=dst IIS Stability: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=28951&r=isapi Install GNU Sed: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=28951&r=gnused Floating point limitations: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=28951&r=float
