Status: Bogus
Bug Type: Directory function related
Operating System: Win2k
PHP Version: 4.3.9
New Comment:
I think that after some file/dir functions the stat cache should be
clean automatically.
like: rmdir(); unlink(); ... all functions that alter files or dirs ...

Thank you for taking the time to write to us, but this is not
a bug. Please double-check the documentation available at
http://www.php.net/manual/ and the instructions on how to
report
a bug at http://bugs.php.net/how-to-report.php
Expected behaviour, read about clearstatcache();

Description:
------------
is_dir() seems to cache the last status for a given dir and don't check
if it still exists.
Reproduce code:
---------------
<?php
mkdir('dir');
is_dir('dir');
rmdir('dir');
$err = is_dir('dir');
?>
Expected result:
----------------
$err = false;
Actual result:
--------------
$err = true;
