Whenever i try either of the two codes that I listed, all i get is a
blank screen
Reproduce code:

readfile("http://www.php.net/");
?>
<?php
$fp = fopen("http://www.php.net/","r");
fclose($fp);
?>
Expected result:
----------------
The page http://www.php.net/ will be shown
Actual result:
--------------
I get a blank page
