New Comment:
Don't know whatelse I could give.
I do a
#./configure --with-mysql=/usr/local/mysql
--with-apsx2=/usr/local/apache2/bin/apsx
everything finishes fine. No errors.
# make
<all well here, no errors>
I do see these warnings at one point, but no fatal errors.

# make install
The output as before, but there is no libphp5.so created in the modules
directory. I skip '--with-mysql' during configure, I get a libphp5.so in
the apache modules directory.
Sorry I don't have any more info. Maybe it isn't a bug and I am missing
something..
Thanks.
