Thank you for taking the time to write to us, but this is not
a bug. Please double-check the documentation available at
http://www.php.net/manual/ and the instructions on how to
report
a bug at http://bugs.php.net/how-to-report.php
This is expected.

It has nothing to do with OCI8.
<?php
$a = "-,6";
var_dump((float)$a);
var_dump($a+2);
?>
Personally I think we should not support floats written in such a
braindead style.

while (ocifetch($stmt)) {
echo $result = ociresult($stmt, "FLOATP")."\n\n";
