The fault occurs during the mysql_connect. My MySQL database works fine. PHP is compiled with MySQL support. This segfault occurs both at the commandline and when my homemade webserver invokes php using the system() call. Reproduce code: --------------- <html><body> foo <table><tr> <? mysql_connect(localhost,"myuser","mypass"); # other stuff here ?> </table> <hr> HTML that never appears in the result. </html> Expected result: ---------------- Not a segfault.
