Please try using this CVS snapshot:
http://snaps.php.net/php4-STABLE-latest.tar.gz
For Windows:
http://snaps.php.net/win32/php4-win32-STABLE-latest.zip
Why didn't you try it before?

Traced it down to a line that read
<?
function &Param($name)
{
return @$this->params[$name];
}
?>
changing it to
...
$v = $this->params[$name];
return $v;
...
fixes it. Is this the same issue fixed in 4.4?

Your code works perfectly fine here.

foo('a','b',c')
should be
foo('a','b','c')
also, are varibables are references to eachother. Changing one changes
them all.

Thank you for this bug report. To properly diagnose the problem, we
need a short but complete example script to be able to reproduce
this bug ourselves.
A proper reproducing script starts with <?php and ends with ?>,
is max. 10-20 lines long and does not require any external
resources such as databases, etc.
If possible, make the script source available online and provide
an URL to it here. Try to avoid embedding huge scripts into the report.
The code you have provided basically doesn't work (missing quotes and
semicolons).
