This is caused by PHP guessing at the timezone. I'm not sure that the error message belongs in the middle of the phpinfo output. Reproduce code: --------------- php -a -n <?php error_reporting(E_STRICT); phpinfo(INFO_MODULES); ?> Expected result: ---------------- phpinfo() should not throw errors, E_STRICT included. Actual result: -------------- (CLI output, similar results through apache module) ... date date/time support => enabled Strict Standards: phpinfo() [/phpmanual/function.phpinfo.html]: It is not safe to rely on the systems timezone settings, please use the date.timezone setting, the TZ environment variable or the date_default_timezone_set() function.
