#34417 [NEW]: session_start hangs up apache

Cacti, Webmail) are sometimes having huge problems executing session_start(). This happens in 50 % of the times. The cpu % of Apache runs up to 100 % and the error message "Maximum execution time of 30 seconds exceeded" and then the line wich says session_start();. It does not matter if session.save_handler = files or mm. This is Apache Server version: Apache/1.3.33 (Unix), PHP 4.4.0 (cli). Kernel is Linux 2.4.31.
