If, however, you remove the "&" from the "=&new", it works fine. (Yes, I know that sort of coding is deprecated; I was converting code to PHP5 when the error appeared.) (PHP5 CLI Apache2) Reproduce code: --------------- $this->trackbacks_handler=&new trackback_handler(&$db_connection,&$login_connection,&$mail_connection,'blog'); Expected result: ---------------- My blog.
