Since it's just an Apache module I think it's quite obvious that PHP compiled against some Apache version may not work with another one. Reproduce code: --------------- Specified in httpd.conf # PHP4 configuration LoadModule php4_module modules/libphp4.so AddType application/x-httpd-php .php .phtml AddType application/x-httpd-php-source .phps and the libphp4.so module is located as specified, in the modules folder. The error specified in the 'actual results' section occurs when I try to shutdown or start Apache 2.1.8 Expected result: ---------------- I expected Apache 2.1.8 under OS X 10.4.2 to load successfully.
