From: titus at hochgreve dot de Operating system: any PHP version: 4.4.1RC1 PHP Bug Type: Feature/Change Request Bug description: is_readable/is_writable should check dir access with url wrappers at least Description: ------------ is_readable($url) --> ini_get('allow_url_fopen') && fopen($url, 'r') is_writable($url) --> constant FALSE with most wrappers I suppose (e.g. http); otherwise (ftp & such) difficult to handle.
