New Comment:
Thank you for taking the time to report a problem with PHP.
Unfortunately your version of PHP is too old -- the problem
might already be fixed. Please download a new PHP
version from http://www.php.net/downloads.php
If you are able to reproduce the bug with one of the latest
versions of PHP, please change the PHP version on this bug report
to the version you tested and change the status back to "Open".
Again, thank you for your continued support of PHP.

I have a Webserver serving several sites. everything works fine for
some time, but the the w3c service (WWW and FTP) stop working. there
are no entries in the event log or elsewhere (at least I haven't found
some)
I can simply startup the www and ftp services again, everything is
fine...
I am using IIS 4 on NT 4.0 with SP6a and ODBC. This happens by using
both, the *.dll and the *.exe version of php
My workaround by now is restarting the webserver every 5 minutes
