This bug has been fixed in CVS.
Snapshots of the sources are packaged every three hours; this change

The workaround return array("a",

if __sleep return a private property in its array, php say :
Unknown: "foo" returned as member variable from __sleep() but does not
exist

php must find a private property wich is return by __sleep.
Actual result:
