I think you are misusing the configure options.
Please post somewhere the config.nice file without your modifications.
I aslo think that you miss some -devel or installed in a non standard
place.

i've edited the configure script and changed a directory link... he now
goes a bit further then png.h but now the compiler strands on
configure: error: libXpm.(a|so) not found.

Install libpng-devel package and/or fix the mess with libraries and
headers in your system.
Not PHP problem.

i've done that and if i try to compile it says this:
configure: error: png.h not found.
