ok . no problem .. How do I determine what is *not* related to 
the problem ? And how do I grab the make comand log .. ?

Remove from the configure line everything not related to the problem
and put the make command log somewhere, so we can take a look at it.

Do ./cvsclean && ./buildconf and recompile it again.
