Description:
------------
I just installed Apache 1.3.35, PHP 4.4.2, and MySQL 4.1.19 on my
Windows XP Pro system so I could develop a web site locally. All my
scripts work on the remote site just fine, with the same versions of
Apache, PHP, and MySQL (or extremely close versions).
In one script, it calls the copy() function and copies an image (from a
URL) to the server root. Like I said, it works fine with our hosting
company; however, when testing the site locally, Apache crashes when
the copy() line is executed.
For a simple test, I created test.php and included this single line of
code:
<?php copy("http://www.google.com/intl/en/images/logo.gif",
"c:\test.gif"); ?>
When run, Apache crashes, with no error message or indication as to
why.
Safe mode is disabled, open_basedir is not used, and I have done a lot
of research without anything turning up.
Thank you for time. I hope this is resolved quickly.

---------------
copy("http://www.google.com/intl/en/images/logo.gif",
"c:\test.gif");
