Damn; I take it that convert_to_string_ex is not allowed either, for
the same reasons?
I'm not requesting a string because the function can accept a string
or an object or a resource.
I think that adding a Z option is a good solution, but might cause
a little bit of confusion with zval pointers (it's already very easy
to get mixed up with those). So, I'm +1 for adding Z, but also +1 on
spelling out in captial letters in the docs what it is for and why you'd
want to use it over a regular zval.
