just a heads up that merging this is starting to cause a bit of chaos on CIs testing against PHP 8.4/master. Even if the project being tested is fully compatible with the change, the entire dependency chain might not, especially on older branches. And that might be difficult for project authors to fully control. In my daily CI I have several builds failing today, eg. * PHPUnit 9.6 * DBAL 3.8 * Doctrine 2.17 whereas their latest branches are OK. https://github.com/mbeccati/php-latest-builds/actions Cheers -- Matteo Beccati Development & Consulting - http://www.beccati.com/
