No more featrues/encodings to mbstring. New features/encodings should go to development version source as I mentioned sevral times...
Why don't you use the PHP CVS for this 'development version'? then everybody can help out with it.
It's not stable enough :(
Then commit after the branch to PHP 4.3.0 happened, it can't do much harm then, can it?
